Biscuit-cinnamon filter coffee is filter coffee with a cinnamon biscuit flavour, made at our roastery in Athens. The first time we opened the bag it smelled like Christmas. Every brew does the same, because as soon as the coffee starts to drip, the aroma fills the whole house.
What does biscuit-cinnamon filter coffee taste like?
It still tastes like coffee, and the biscuit flavour is just enough, never covering it. You taste the biscuit first, and then the cinnamon stays with you, warm and sweet. The intensity is mild and the coffee tastes naturally sweet, so many people drink it without sugar. Your mug still smells of biscuit an hour after you finish it.
We tasted it at the roastery and loved it so much we did not know what to say. Sofia put it best.
“It’s like eating Christmas.”
Sofia, at our tasting
What coffee is inside?
It is our own one-of-a-kind flavoured blend, and only we make it. You will not find it anywhere else, and no one can replicate it. Other roasteries sell flavoured filter coffee too, but none of them is the same as ours. It has Arabica and Robusta from Brazil, Guatemala, Colombia and India. It comes as whole bean or ground for paper filter, metal filter or French press, in 250 g and 500 g bags.
Is it a Christmas filter coffee?
It is the filter coffee you want from the first cold day until the holidays. A warm house, a mug of this, and Christmas arrives early. If you are looking for a Christmas filter coffee for yourself or as a gift, this is it.
How do I make it?
Like the filter coffee you make every day, in a filter coffee machine, a hand pour-over or a French press. How much coffee to use for your water is in the dosage table below.
What goes well with it?
A cinnamon biscuit next to the mug. We also make our own cinnamon biscuits, and nothing pairs better.
Frequently asked questions
- Is it instant coffee?
No. It is real filter coffee, ground for the way you brew, with a cinnamon biscuit flavour. It also comes as whole bean if you grind your own.
- Does it need sugar?
It tastes sweet on its own, so we suggest trying it plain first. If you take sugar or milk, add them as usual.
- How strong is the biscuit flavour?
Just enough. You can tell you are drinking coffee, you taste the biscuit, and the cinnamon stays with you at the end.
- Which grind should I choose?
Pick the grind for what you have at home, paper filter, metal filter or French press. If you have a grinder, take it whole bean and grind just before brewing.
- Can I buy it from another roastery?
No. It is our own one-of-a-kind blend and only we make it, so you will only find it at our roastery and on rizopouloscoffee.gr.
- Is it a good Christmas gift?
Yes. It is a Christmas filter coffee for anyone who drinks coffee by the mug, and together with a bag of cinnamon biscuits it makes a warm gift.
